Short Stay Programs

Provides temporary relief for up to a 30-day period to a primary caregiver, enabling him/her to take a much-needed break from the demands of caregiving a sick, aging, or disabled family member. Admission is co-ordinated through your community health nurse or social worker at 709-542-3508.

Provides urgent and short-term placement of up to 30 days for individuals presenting to acute care (hospital) where challenges and barriers present with a return to previous living accommodation and where the persons need can be safely met in a personal care home. Admission is co-ordinated through the acute care social worker or hospital discharge planner. This stay is fully funded by NL Health Care.
